The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was directed by New Zealander Andrew Adamson and was shot mainly in New Zealand, though locations were used in Poland, the Czech Republic and England.
The story follows four British children who are evacuated during the Blitz to the countryside and find a wardrobe that leads to the fantasy world of Narnia; there, they must ally with the Lion Aslan against the forces of the White Witch, who has the world under an eternal winter.
The film was released theatrically starting on December 7, 2005. As of[update] April 2006, the film has grossed over US$700 million worldwide, making it the 28th highest grossing movie worldwide of all time.[4]
The DVD was released on April 3, 2006 in the UK and April 4, 2006 in North America and Europe.

Harry (Schwarzenegger) attempts to lead a double life, performing dangerous covert missions for Omega Sector with his support team of Albert "Gib" Gibson (Arnold) and Faisil (Heslov) while hiding this work from his wife Helen (Curtis) and daughter Dana (Dushku) under the guise of corporate travel. During a mission in Switzerland, Harry encounters and becomes suspicious of antiques dealer Juno Skinner (Carrere). His suspicions are correct, as Juno is helping to smuggle nuclear warheads into the United States for a Palestinian terrorist faction, Crimson Jihad, led by Aziz (Malik). However, while attempting to tail Aziz through the Georgetown Park shopping mall and the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, Harry is late for his own birthday party, angering Helen.
The next day, Harry tries to surprise Helen at work during lunch but overhears her talking with a co-worker about a man named Simon (Paxton) that she believes is a spy. Harry uses Omega Sector's resources to track down Simon, and comes to realize that he is just a used-car salesman trying to flirt with Helen. In order to win Helen back, Harry arranges for a SWAT team to take Helen while she is seeing Simon, and then interrogates her through a one-way mirror and voice distortion to learn that Helen never slept with Simon but was only craving adventure, something that Harry never provided her. Harry arranges a fake mission for Helen to undertake as an operative, and tells her to pose as a prostitute with black panties and gelled hair in order to plant a tracking bug on an arms' dealer staying in a nearby hotel. Harry assumes the role of the dealer, using the darkened room to hide his face, and planning to reveal himself to her to reaffirm his love. As Helen strip-teases for Harry, Aziz's men burst into the room, and both Harry and Helen are taken prisoner.

Chuck Noland (Hanks) is a time-obsessed FedEx systems analyst, who travels worldwide resolving productivity problems at FedEx depots. He is in a long-term relationship with Kelly Frears (Helen Hunt), with whom he lives in Memphis. Although both want to get married, Chuck's busy schedule causes problems. The couple's Christmas with relatives is interrupted by Chuck being summoned to resolve a problem overseas.
While flying through a violent thunderstorm somewhere over the southern Pacific Ocean, apparently having flown off course, an incident occurs on Chuck's aircraft which results in it crashing into the ocean. Saved by an inflatable life-raft, Chuck floats for some time in the storm before being washed up on an island.
It soon becomes clear that the island is uninhabited, and Chuck's early attempts to make visual signals for any searching aircraft, and to escape the island in the remnants of his life raft are fruitless.
After several FedEx packages from the crashed plane wash up on the island, Chuck begins to open them, looking for items to use for his survival. He finds a number of potentially useful items but leaves one package, painted with a pair of wings, unopened.
During a failed attempt to make fire, Chuck receives a deep wound to his hand. In anger he throws several objects, including a Wilson volleyball from one of the FedEx packages. A short time later he draws a face in the bloody hand print on the ball, naming it "Wilson" and talking to it as if it were a person.

She and her granddaughter Elizabeth "Lizzy" Calvert (Suzy Amis) visit Lovett and his skeptical team on his salvage ship. When asked if she knew the whereabouts of the necklace, Rose Calvert recalls her memories aboard the Titanic, revealing for the first time that she was Rose DeWitt Bukater, a passenger believed to have died in the sinking.
In 1912, the upper-class 17-year-old Rose (Kate Winslet) boards the ship in Southampton, England, with her fiancé, Caledon "Cal" Hockley (Billy Zane) and her mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater (Frances Fisher), both of whom stress the importance of Rose's engagement to Cal since the marriage will mean the eradication of the Dewitt-Bukater debts: while they have the outward appearance of the upper-class, Rose and her mother are financially broke. Distraught and frustrated by her engagement to the controlling Cal and the pressure her mother is putting on her to go through with the marriage, Rose attempts suicide by jumping from the stern. Before she leaps, a drifter and artist named Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) intervenes. Initially Cal, his friends and the sailors, overhearing Rose's screams, believe Jack attempted to rape her. She explains Jack saved her life, hiding her suicide attempt by explaining she slipped after trying to see the propellers. Jack supports the claim, although Hockley's manservant, former police officer Spicer Lovejoy, is unconvinced. Jack and Rose strike up a tentative friendship as she thanks him for his corroboration, and he shares stories of his adventures traveling and sketching; their bond deepens when they leave a stuffy first-class formal dinner of the rapport-building wealthy for a much livelier gathering of Irish dance, music and ale in third-class.

When Cale is stung by a wasp which entered his mouth (leaving him unconscious for nearly the rest of the film), Sarone takes command of the boat... and the crew. They are then forced to help him achieve his true objective; hunting down and capturing a record-breaking Green Anaconda he had been tracking. During the process, several members of the crew are killed before the snake itself is shot dead and Sarone incapacitated by the newly awakened Cale. Later on, Terri and Danny, two of the surviving members of the crew, are captured when Sarone kills Denise (Kari Wührer) and catches up to them. He dumps a bucket of animal blood on them and then uses them as bait in an attempt to capture a second, larger Anaconda. The anaconda, Terri and Danny are caught in a net by Sarone, but escape when the snake breaks free. The survivors cut their bonds and break free as Sarone himself is killed by his quarry. The snake becomes trapped in the smoke stack, which Danny ignites and it seems to have died. As Terri and Danny recuperate on a nearby dock, the snake appears one final time. Danny beats the anaconda with an axe until it is finally slain. Afterwards, the survivors of the expedition reunite on the ship, and as they float down the river, accidentally locate the natives they were originally searching for. They realize Sarone was right and begin filming their documentary as the movie ends.
